Best Melanotan II Suppliers in 2026: 41 Vendors, Real Prices

We priced Melanotan II across all 41 vendors we track. Thirty nine of them sell the identical 10 mg vial, and that same vial runs $27 to past $66 with a median of $3.92 per mg. Here are the four sellers we would point people to, ranked on third-party lab testing, US shipping, and verified price per mg.

Every seller ships the same vial, and the price nearly triples

Thirty nine of the 41 vendors we track for Melanotan II list exactly one size: a 10 mg vial. Same compound, same amount of lyophilized powder, same wait for bacteriostatic water. That uniformity makes this the cleanest price comparison in our whole directory, because there is no vial size arithmetic to squint at.

So here is what that identical vial costs right now. Pure Health Peptides has it at $27. Swiss Chems, $27.96. Panda Peptides, $28.04. Atomik Labz, $29. Climb toward the top of the range and the same 10 mg runs past $66. Across the 36 vendors holding it in stock today, the median lands at $3.92 a milligram.

Put that beside the rest of our catalog and Melanotan II turns out to be one of the cheaper things on the shelf. BPC-157 runs a median $5.81/mg across 58 vendors. Ipamorelin, $6.22 across 64. IGF-1 LR3 sits at $80.00. A compound that came out of a university pharmacology lab and spawned an FDA approved drug now costs less per milligram than the peptide everyone talks about first.

The Arizona lab that started all of it

Melanotan II is a cyclic lactam analog of alpha melanocyte stimulating hormone, built at the University of Arizona by Mac Hadley, Victor Hruby and colleagues. The full sequence, if you like that sort of thing, is Ac-Nle4-Asp5-His6-D-Phe7-Arg8-Trp9-Lys10-NH2.

The human record here is thin, and the exact thinness is the point. The pilot phase I trial that established tanning activity in people (Dorr et al., Life Sciences, 1996) ran three male volunteers. Three. They started at 0.01 mg/kg, escalated to 0.03 mg/kg, and two of them showed measurably increased pigmentation in the face, upper body and buttock a week after dosing stopped, confirmed by quantitative reflectance measurement. Somnolence, mild nausea and spontaneous erections showed up alongside the tan. The authors recommended 0.025 mg/kg/day for future work.

That last observation is the interesting part of the story. The arousal effect sent Palatin Technologies chasing MT-II's active metabolite, which became bremelanotide, which the FDA approved as Vyleesi in June 2019 for hypoactive sexual desire disorder in premenopausal women. Melanotan II's sibling compound went the other direction: Melanotan I became afamelanotide, approved as Scenesse in October 2019 to give people with erythropoietic protoporphyria pain free time in the light. Two approved drugs, one Tucson research program. If you want the descendant with a prescribing label, we cover it in our PT-141 supplier rankings.

The sellers we would actually point people to

Our rubric weights six things: third party COA quality at 30%, price at 25%, then reputation, US availability, catalog depth and payment options. Here is the full method. Four names come out ahead on Melanotan II specifically.

Atomik Labz is the one we would buy. It scores 8.6 out of 10 and ranks 3rd of 72 vendors, it tests through Finnrick, it ships from Alexandria, Virginia, and it charges $29 for the 10 mg vial. Nothing else in the top ten of our rankings comes within three dollars of that price. Being a near cheapest option and a top five vendor at the same time is rare enough that we checked it twice.

Peptidology is the top of the board. It holds a 9.3 out of 10 and ranks 1st of all 72 vendors we score, on Finnrick testing out of Scottsdale, Arizona. Its Melanotan II comes as an 11 mg vial at $42.99, which works out to $3.91 a milligram, right at the market median. You pay roughly the middle of the market and get the highest rated operator we have.

Peptide Crafters is the value bracket. 8.3 out of 10, 5th of 72, Finnrick tested, $30 flat for 10 mg. It is a dollar over Atomik with the same lab tier behind it, so treat the two as interchangeable and buy whichever has stock.

Panda Peptides is the payment flexibility pick. 7.8 out of 10, Janoshik tested, $28.04, and it takes Apple Pay, Google Pay, credit card, bank transfer, CashApp and Zelle. Plenty of peptide sellers have narrowed to crypto and Zelle only, so a vendor still running mainstream rails is worth noting. It ships from the Greater Toronto Area to both the US and internationally.

Five of the 41 vendors are sold out of Melanotan II as I write this, so check stock before you get attached to a price. The full live table, sorted however you like, sits on our Melanotan II page.

What the extra twenty dollars is really buying

The spread from $27 to $66 is mostly a lab story. Eleven of these 41 vendors run their Melanotan II through Finnrick, which grades blind purchased samples and sits at the top of our lab tiering. Another seven use Janoshik and six use MZ Biolabs, both genuine third party work a step below. The tail of the list gets thinner: one vendor tests in house, and one is leaning on a bulk supplier's Finnrick COA.

Price and lab tier move independently here, which is the useful finding. Atomik at $29 and Peptide Crafters at $30 both carry Finnrick results. Several vendors charging $45 and up are on lower tier labs. Paying more buys you a better tan story from the marketing copy about as often as it buys you better analytics.

Two things to check on the certificate before you order, and our COA guide walks through the rest:

The batch number on the COA matches the batch on your vial. A site wide COA from 2024 tells you nothing about the powder in the box.
Peptide content, alongside purity. Purity says how much of what is there is the right molecule. Content says how much peptide is actually in the vial versus residual salts and water. A 99% pure vial holding 82% peptide content is a quiet 18% price increase. How Janoshik reports both.

Where it stands with the FDA

Melanotan II is sold for research use and has no FDA approval. It appears on the FDA's Category 2 bulk substances page under substances that nominators later withdrew, where the agency's stated concerns include immunogenicity and published case reports of melanoma, posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome, sympathomimetic toxidrome and priapism. The agency has signaled it will bring peptides back to its Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee, so this page is worth rechecking.

Given that the compound acts on pigment cells, anyone considering it should have a dermatologist establish a baseline on their moles first and keep the annual skin check on the calendar. Talk to your doctor before starting anything new.
